Purobuild have partnered with a leading, specialist energy and sustainability consultancy who are looking for an experienced Energy Consultant to join their team. The successful Energy Consultant will be joining an established consultancy who have delivered projects to clients across a range of sectors. This position is a fully remote/working from home position with quarterly meetings with the team in London.
The Energy Consultant will be undertaking a wide range of sustainability and Building Regulations assessments. The role will primarily involve undertaking SAP assessments with additional calculations required such as thermal bridging and U-value calculations. The role will also include Part O (overheating assessments). There will be training and development within the role, leading to excellent career prospects, including for example, thermal modelling to carry out TM59 / TM52 assessments.
Energy Consultant main responsibilities will be:
-Undertaking OCDEA/SAP calculations for new build domestic properties
-Delivering Part O overheating assessments
-Commercial and non domestic energy assessments
-IES modelling to analyse building energy consumption
-Liaising with clients and offering advice on energy saving initiatives
Energy Consultant requirements:
-Qualified On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor (OCDEA) accreditation
-Experienced with IES VE modelling software particularly for overheating assessments
-Experience with TM52 overheating / TM54 operational energy analysis
-Non Domestic Energy Assessor (NDEA) qualification is desired
-A degree qualification is desired in areas of sustainability, environmental or engineering sectors
