We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Fire Alarm Install Engineer to join our team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse projects and be part of a company that values professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation of fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations (e.g., BS 5839-1).
- Conducting site surveys to determine installation requirements.
- Running cables, installing devices, and commissioning fire alarm systems.
- Working collaboratively with clients and project managers to deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues during installations.
- Ensuring health and safety protocols are followed at all times.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in installing fire alarm systems.
- Knowledge of industry regulations and standards (e.g., BS 5839, BS 7671).
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Validdriving license.
Desirable Skills:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., FIA, BAFE, or equivalent).
- Experience with additional safety systems (e.g., emergency lighting, smoke vent systems).
- Understanding of IT and networking for modern fire alarm systems.
