A specialist fire consultancy is looking for a Fire Engineer to join their growing team in London. This established firm, known for its expertise in fire safety, provides critical assessments and inspections across the residential sector.

Their friendly team of 14 is split between Fire Design and Site Inspection, offering a collaborative environment for a Fire Engineer to develop a well-rounded skill set.

The Fire Engineer's Role

The Fire Engineer will be responsible for conducting Fire Inspection Reports, Fire Installation Inspections, Fire Risk Assessments (FRAs), and EWS1 evaluations on both new build and existing property.

  • Evaluating external facades to confirm compliance with post-Grenfell regulations
  • Producing Fire Inspection Reports and risk assessments
  • Conducting on-site Fire Installation Inspections
  • Assessing and grading fire risks on residential buildings, both new and existing
  • Collaborating with the Fire Design team to provide comprehensive fire safety solutions

The Successful Fire Engineer Will Have

  • A degree in Fire Engineering, Engineering or relevant
  • 2+ years' Fire Engineering experience
  • Experience in Fire Risk Assessments, EWS1 evaluations, and fire safety inspections
  • Knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, including post Building Safety Act facade regulations
  • A proactive approach and strong attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a specialist team
