Fire Engineer Opportunity

An exciting opportunity for a skilled Fire Engineer to join a leading multi-disciplinary consultancy, with roles available in both London and Manchester offices. This firm is at the forefront of fire safety, surveying, engineering, and project management, delivering high-impact projects across England and Wales. Specialising in high-risk buildings within residential, mixed-use, and university sectors, this role offers a chance to influence and improve fire safety standards on a national scale.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site inspections, assess fire risks, and review external wall investigations.
  • Interpret and apply relevant legislation, regulations, and best practices to fire safety strategies.
  • Provide expert recommendations on fire strategy, interim measures, and remediation actions.
  • Collaborate with project management and cost consultancy teams on faade and cladding remediation projects.
  • Oversee construction projects to ensure fire safety compliance, from full-scale faade replacements to internal fire compartmentation work.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation, including the Building Safety Act 2022 and Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022.
  • Experience in assessing external wall systems and fire risks in high-rise buildings.
  • Relevant degree in engineering or fire safety and professional accreditation (e.g., Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with IFE or equivalent).
  • Technical expertise in building regulations, PAS 9980 assessments, and fire safety best practices.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and report-writing skills.
