We are currently recruiting for an experienced HHSRS Building Surveyor to join our Clients Property Services Team, based in North London. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to maintaining safe, habitable, and efficient properties in line with regulatory standards.

Your duties will involve the following:

  • Ensure that properties are fit for habitation and that emerging new standards are considered during programming in line with the responsibilities of HHSRS, making sure properties are free from Category 1 hazards and high category 2 hazards
  • To take a lead on works that involve both the repairs service and major works teams
  • To work alongside the Asset Manager to identify opportunities and savings
  • Ensure that all relevant nformation is captured and uploaded into the Asset Management System
  • Responsible for the effective collection of data relating to HHSRS and the assessment/rating of stock
  • Responsible for collecting property information in line with survey demands, including void properties and operating plans. Ensuring the best use of resources to maximise productivity
  • Responsible for diagnosing the cause of defects relating to fabric and building failure of domestic dwellings
  • Assist the Asset Manager and Stock Investment Manager with reviewing stock data accuracy, e.g. confirm that the property attributes within the asset systems are correct and use this data identify areas for improvement and/or investment
  • Assist with gathering property energy assessments information relevant to EPC grading
  • Undertake periodic site inspections and ad hoc surveys as required to ensure that quality standards are met
  • Undertake detailed, Condition Surveys, Technical Due Diligence Surveys, Planned Preventative Maintenance Schedules, Dilapidations Surveys and Licences for Alterations Agreements as required

To be considered for this role you should have a degree in a construction, related subject HNC Building Studies or equivalent relevant experience coupled with accredited HHSRS Assessor qualification and inspection experience
