Job advert: Building Surveyor

Location: London

Day rate: £350 day rate

Working on a very exciting opportunity to work for one of our trusted, returning clients as an interim Building Surveyor. This position is there to assist on property maintenance and improvement projects and would suit a driven and focused Building Surveyor.

Key responsibilities:

  • Conduct property inspections checking for defects, maintenance needs and compliance within building regulations.
  • Ensure quality and cost-effectiveness of the repairs, refurbishments and planned works.
  • Ensuring targets are met and works are completed in the time frame and budget
  • Managing contracts and technical reports
  • Supervising contractors, checking performance is in line with expectations
  • Respond and react to repairs related enquiries and complaints

Client requirements:

  • Prior surveying experience within a housing association or similar industry
  • Knowledge on health and safety on site
  • Confidentially able to manage and advice on repair cases
  • Knowledge of construction procedures and legislation's
  • Intermediate IT skills - MS word, excel and outlook
