Interim Head of Building Control

Morgan Law is recruiting for an Interim Head of Building Control, managing a team of approximately 20 staff and act as the go to for all Principal Building Control advise for one of our Local Government clients based in London.

Responsibilities include:

• Manage a team of 15 building surveyors, ensuring programmes and projects are effectively manage and delivered on time
• Provide professional advice on building control related matters, as well as giving direction to other Council departments complex building methods and legislation.
• Oversee the provision of initial surveys, certification, emergency action regarding dangerous structures and provide the appropriate guidance.
• Work with senior stakeholders within the Planning & Transport Division, assisting with the formulation of policy and strategic planning for construction related services

Experience required:

• Extensive experience working in Building Control at a senior level
• Track record managing teams and developing staff
• Class 3/4 building inspector

Work Pattern:

• This is a Hybrid role with 2-3 days required on site in London
