Position Overview:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Residential Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing accurate and detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects, ensuring that all projects are financially viable and align with our company's standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for residential construction projects, including materials, labor, and time requirements
- Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to develop accurate and competitive bids Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates
- Conduct site visits to assess project scope and gather relevant data
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, materials costs, and construction methodologies
- Prepare and present estimates and proposals to clients and stakeholders
- Track and manage changes in project scope, identifying any potential cost impacts
- Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards
- Work closely with project managers to support successful project execution and budget management
- Utilize estimating software and tools to streamline the estimating process
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Construction Estimator in the residential construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, labor costs, and industry practices
- Excellent analytical and mathematical skills with keen attention to detail
- Proficiency in Price a job and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
