Job Title: Mechanical Estimator

Salary: £75,000 - £90,000 (including additional company benefits)

A UK-based market leading building services contractor who turnover in excess of £250 million M&E that provides building services, engineering solutions, and construction services across the country.

My client is actively seeking an experienced Mechanical Estimator to join their pre-Construction team in the City of London. Delivering some of the most cutting-edge projects across the UK, my client has established themselves as a contractor of choice to global developers and principle contractors in the commerical office, pharmaceutical/life sciences & residential project sectors successfully delivering projects up to £70 million MEP in the companies history.

With a strong pipeline of works for the foreseeable future, my client is actively hiring due to business growth and expansion plans to grow to take on more prestigious works.

Responsibilities/Skills & Experience

  • Minimum of 6 years' experience in a Mechanical Estimating role.
  • Proficiency in researching materials, equipment, and labour costs.
  • Experience with Trimble or Contract Master is ideal; however, experience with other estimating software is also acceptable.
  • Strong Excel skills are beneficial.
  • Ability to liaise with clients to gather project requirements.
  • Skilled in gathering quotes from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Capable of assessing project risks and preparing detailed quotations.
  • Proven track record of maintaining excellent relationships with clients and site teams.
  • Competent in analysing company data, exchange rates, and prices using various software packages.
  • Ensuring compliance with health & safety standards.
  • Attending design, progress, and commercial meetings regularly.
  • Monitoring project stages to ensure costs align with forecasts.
