Are you a skilled Fire Engineer looking for a part-time opportunity to make a significant impact? Our client, is seeking a talented individual to join their team as a Fire Engineer. If you have expertise in fire safety theory, good practise, and legislation, this could be the perfect role for you!

As a Fire Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting inspections on buildings over 11m in height, working alongside EHOs to support investigations and draught relevant notices under the Housing Act.
  • Assessing external wall reports and fire risk assessments for residential buildings.
  • Training non-fire engineer colleagues and providing guidance during inspections and enforcement stages.
  • Establishing relationships with key stakeholders such as freeholders, managing agents, and residents.
  • Responding to fire-related queries and liaising with enforcement officers and building control surveyors.

To succeed in this role, you must have a honours degree in fire engineering or a related subject, along with membership grade with IFE. Additionally, experience in fire safety enforcement or responding to enforcement by the fire authority is highly desirable.
