Our client, a prominent company in the Building Control sector, is looking for a Registered Building Inspector - London Class 3 to join their team. This permanent role will focus primarily on commercial schemes, with some high-rise residential projects. The successful applicant will have the flexibility to work from home full time, attending site visits as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting inspections and surveys of building projects to ensure compliance with regulations
- Providing detailed reports on the findings of inspections and surveys
- Advising on compliance with building standards and regulations for both commercial and residential projects
- Liaising with developers, contractors, and other stakeholders to provide technical support and guidance
- Ensuring accurate record-keeping and documentation of all inspections and related activities
- Attending site visits as needed to assess ongoing construction works
- Collaborating with the Building Control team to maintain high standards of service
Job Requirements:
- Registered Building Inspector with Class 3 qualification
- Experience in Building Control, especially in commercial and residential projects
- In-depth knowledge of building regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong reporting and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently from home and manage time effectively
- Effective communication skills to liaise with various stakeholders
