Senior Acquisitions & Disposals Surveyor (Residential )

We are seeking a Residential Property Surveyor to support a public sector property team with valuations, acquisitions, and disposals of residential assets. This role requires expertise in lease extensions, Right to Buy, and small residential acquisitions and disposals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Property Valuations: Undertake valuations for acquisitions, disposals, Right to Buy, and leasehold extensions, ensuring compliance with rics standards
  • Conduct market research and data analysis to inform valuation decisions and identify opportunities for acquisitions and disposals.
  • Oversee the acquisition and disposal of residential properties, ensuring adherence to procurement regulations and best practice.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, including agents, landowners, developers, and solicitors, to facilitate smooth transactions and ensure legal compliance.
  • Negotiate terms for acquisitions and disposals, ensuring optimal value and outcomes.
  • Prepare reports and presentations for internal stakeholders to support informed decision-making.
  • Conduct financial, planning, and environmental assessments to evaluate the viability of development proposals.
  • Prepare and submit planning applications and draft procurement documents for appointing and managing external consultants.
  • Track development progress, identify risks, and report updates to senior leadership.
Who We're Looking For:
  • Experience in residential valuations, lease extensions, and small-scale acquisitions and disposals.
  • Strong knowledge of RICS valuation standards and public sector property transactions.
  • Skilled in negotiation, financial analysis, and feasibility assessments.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, ensuring compliance and best practice.
  • Strong reporting and communication skills, with experience preparing valuation and decision-making reports.
