Client-Side / Consultancy Role for a Director of Building Surveying
(Industrial and Commercial Focus)

We are representing a leading consultancy that collaborates with a major developer and asset manager specialising in the commercial and industrial sectors.

Operating across the UK, the consultancy offers a comprehensive range of services, managing a portfolio exceeding 15 million sq. ft and over 800 tenants. They work closely with institutions, financial partners, and occupiers to deliver exceptional results.

The Role:

The consultancy is seeking a Senior building surveyor or Associate, to play an intergeral role with small team made up of of 5 Chartered building surveyors. This hybrid position involves spending approximately 30% of your time on client-side responsibilities and 70% on consultancy work.

Projects will span the UK and include a mix of dilapidations, planned preventive maintenance (PPM),TDD, Contract administration and project work. Current examples of their services include:

  • Project monitoring a 300,000 sq ft new-build industrial unit in East Anglia for a FTSE 250 company.
  • Managing multiple dilapidations claims on behalf of asset managers and investors in Manchester and Bedfordshire.

About You:

  • Chartered Building Surveyor (MRICS) with substantial commercial experience.
  • Strong expertise in both client-side and consultancy aspects of building surveying.
  • Proven ability to handle challenging negotiations and deliver top-tier advice to clients.
  • Experience managing a team would be highly beneficial.
