The Fire Engineer's RoleAs a Fire Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing fire strategies for a range of building types across multiple sectors.
This role involves engaging with clients and approval authorities to deliver innovative fire safety solutions while ensuring compliance with UK legislation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive fire strategies for various building types
- Produce fire statements in line with London Plan Policy and Gateway One requirements
- Negotiate fire safety designs and proposals with approval authorities
- Conduct peer reviews of fire engineering calculations, including smoke modelling and evacuation analysis
- Stay updated and ensure compliance with UK fire safety legislation
- 3-4 years of experience in the Fire Engineering field
- Broad project experience across various sectors
- Membership with the Institute of Fire Engineers
- A BEng or CEng in Fire Engineering or equivalent experience
- Proven success in client-engaging environments
- Familiarity with EWS-1 and PAS 9980 standards
- Salary: £65,000 - £75,000
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
