The Fire Engineer's Role

As a Fire Engineer, you will be instrumental in developing fire strategies for a range of building types across multiple sectors.

This role involves engaging with clients and approval authorities to deliver innovative fire safety solutions while ensuring compliance with UK legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop comprehensive fire strategies for various building types
Produce fire statements in line with London Plan Policy and Gateway One requirements
Negotiate fire safety designs and proposals with approval authorities
Conduct peer reviews of fire engineering calculations, including smoke modelling and evacuation analysis
Stay updated and ensure compliance with UK fire safety legislation

The Ideal Fire Engineer Will Have

3-4 years of experience in the Fire Engineering field
Broad project experience across various sectors
Membership with the Institute of Fire Engineers
A BEng or CEng in Fire Engineering or equivalent experience
Proven success in client-engaging environments
Familiarity with EWS-1 and PAS 9980 standards
