The Building Surveyor's RoleThe successful Building Surveyor will take on a client-facing role, managing a portfolio of instructions across various stages of the project lifecycle.
You will be responsible for conducting due diligence and technical reports, delivering contract administration and employer's agent services, and undertaking specification writing and tender documentation. You'll also be required to conduct regular site inspections and provide hands-on project delivery across multiple active schemes.
As part of a collaborative team, you'll also support the ongoing expansion of the building surveying service, whilst mentoring junior staff where required.
The Successful Building Surveyor Will Have
Qualifications:

RICS Chartered (or equivalent professional qualification)

Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for project travel
Knowledge and Attributes:

Proven experience in building surveying, technical reporting, and project delivery

Skilled in contract administration and employer's agent duties

Strong understanding of Health & Safety regulations

Confident communicator with the ability to lead client engagements

Proficient in AutoCAD, Microsoft Project, and app-based software solutions
