Duties of the role will be to;


* Provide technical expertise on remediation for LBS colleagues and a team of fire risk assessors / contract management and as Client-Lead to outsourced Fire Risk Assessment contractors, FRAEW contractors, Retrospective Fire Strategy Contractors.

* Respond to fire safety remediation queries that the Fire Safety team receive both internally and externally.

* To assist the Fire Safety Manager in technical and professional development of the fire safety team.

* Ensure all fire risk assessors are undertaking assessments on buildings for which they are suitably qualified and have the necessary relevant experience.

* Contribute to the monitoring of existing and the development of new processes and procedures to facilitate the management control of fire risks.

* To provide an expert technical point of contact and to all stakeholders and management on matters of fire safety and represent the technical expertise of the FST when required (e.g., meetings, communications, etc.).

* Undertake suitable & sufficient Type 1 Fire Risk Assessments (HSFRA) in compliance with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 for the common parts of premises.
