300 North Recruitment are seeking several freelance Compartmentation Surveyors on behalf of a leading passive fire protection contractor based just outside of London.

  • Up to 12 weeks on site starting as soon as possible.
  • Up to £300 per day dependant on experience.
  • Follow on work within the London area with the same client covering Healthcare, Education, Commercial and MOD projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough fire compartmentation surveys on a large commercial building in North London.
  • Identifying and assessing fire-stopping issues, breaches in fire barriers, and compliance with fire safety regulations.
  • Preparing detailed reports, including recommendations for remediation.
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and project managers to communicate findings and provide expert guidance on fire compartmentation solutions.
  • Ensuring all surveys are completed in line with current fire safety regulations and building codes.

Required:

  • Experience in compartmentation surveying is essential for this role.
  • Fire Stopping Inspection qualification and PASMA ticket for elevated surveys.
  • Proven experience in fire compartmentation surveys and knowledge of relevant regulations (e.g., BS 9999, BS 9991, etc.).
  • Familiar with survey recording software/apps/ systems such as OneTrace, Boris, Bolster etc.
  • Strong understanding of passive fire protection systems, fire doors, and fire-stopping materials.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for report writing and client interaction.
