Reymas Group is recruiting a Roof Surveyor for a dynamic and forward-thinking Client, operating at the forefront of the flat roofing sector. Our clients’ business prides itself on technical excellence, service delivery, and design innovation, holding a strong emphasis on collaboration! Technical Roof Surveyor Package: £40,000 – £45,000 + Car Allowance, Bonus, Private Medical Cover, Pension Location: London & Surrounding Counties Role OverviewThe Technical Roof Surveyor plays a key role in delivering high-quality surveying and technical assessments across refurbishment and new-build flat roofing projects. Operating across the South of England, this role involves conducting detailed roof inspections using both traditional and advanced technologies, including 3D scanning. The surveyor will compile technical reports to support design proposals and project execution, ensuring alignment with regulations and industry best practices. This position is instrumental in shaping accurate project specifications and guiding clients through expert recommendations. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct on-site roof surveys, assessing waterproofing, insulation, drainage, and substrate conditions
  • Take core samples and measurements to determine existing roofing build-ups and suitability for refurbishment
  • Operate 3D scanning equipment to create digital models for planning and design
  • Produce technical reports detailing findings, condition assessments, and proposed solutions
  • Liaise with contractors, clients, and project stakeholders to provide technical expertise
  • Maintain accurate project documentation within internal systems
  • Ensure all work complies with relevant British Standards and building regulations
  • Collaborate with design, technical, and quality assurance teams to facilitate smooth project delivery
Experience & Skills Required
  • Experience conducting flat roofing surveys, preferably within refurbishment projects would be ideal experience, or holding similar experience within a different area of construction.
  • Knowledge of waterproofing systems, insulation materials, and roofing construction would be beneficial
  • Competency in survey techniques, core sampling, and field measurements
  • Strong written communication skills for producing detailed reports
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across the region
Desirable:
  • Familiarity with 3D scanning technology
  • Understanding of building regulations
  • Proficiency in CRM platforms and digital reporting tools
