About Us:Our client are a dynamic and rapidly expanding Technical Services team based at our Head Office in Borehamwood. Currently, they are conducting fire door inspections across 39 active developments out of a total of 56 managed sites. The team works within a structured schedule, operating Monday to Friday with a focus on high-quality inspections and reporting.
- Monday: Office-based for briefing and report preparation
- Tuesday to Thursday: On-site fire door inspections
- Friday: Office-based for debriefing and reporting
The current focus is on fire door inspections and reports, but we are also planning to introduce a second service soon. They offer a supportive working environment with opportunities for growth, alongside comprehensive training and qualifications.
About the Role:Looking for a Technical Services Operative to join the team and help continue to deliver exceptional service to our clients. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, adaptable, and ready to learn as they support the team in fire door inspections and other technical services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting fire door inspections across multiple sites
- Producing detailed reports and ensuring compliance with safety standards
- Supporting Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) activities, including weekly and monthly testing
- Working independently and collaboratively with the team
- Contributing to the development of the service as we expand
The Ideal Candidate:
Ideally, younger candidate with a desire to learn and progress.

- Possesses a technical or maintenance background.
- Demonstrates adaptability and openness to learning.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively.
- Holds a valid driving license and access to a car is a must.
- Experienced in maintenance and Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks such as weekly and monthly testing.
- Preferable to have experience with fire doors.
- Competitive salary range of £32,000 to £35,000, with the upper end reserved for candidates who closely match the specified criteria.

- Travel expenses to the sites are reimbursed.
- We provide the essential induction and training such as a fire door diploma for them to effectively perform their roles.
