I am recruiting for a leading UK laundry service provider. They have a turnover of over £3.58 billion a year and are constantly growing at a fast pace. The next step is for you to become one of the important maintenance engineers at the site in Brixton.The current engineers are hardworking and passionate with a focus on continuous improvement and dedication to the job.Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure company vision, values, and policies are always upheld.
  • Support the engineering team with mentoring and adherence to procedures (PPMs, SSOWs, etc.).
  • Assist with compliance for fire systems, PAT, pressure valves, and safety regulations.
  • Contribute to risk assessments, accident prevention, and continuous workplace improvements.
  • Plan and coordinate resources for maintenance and unplanned issues.
  • Liaise with suppliers for parts and machinery procurement.
  • Deliver training on new equipment and ensure safe operational practices.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong technical knowledge and hands-on experience in engineering operations.
  • Familiarity with compliance standards and safety regulations.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to support and mentor a team.

Experience:

  • Proven experience of industrial maintenance or production.
  • Operational maintenance experience (hands on) would be preferred.
  • 2 years Team leader experience or CMI level 3 (desirable).
  • Experience in applying and implementing LEAN manufacturing systems (desirable).
