A London-based local authority is seeking an experienced Interim Finance Business Partner to provide specialist support within Housing General Fund and Temporary Accommodation during a critical period. The successful candidate will play a key role in financial planning, cost management, and year-end processes ahead of a new finance system launch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Temporary Accommodation Demand and Cost Modelling - Assess and project financial impacts across different types of accommodation.
- Options Appraisals - Evaluate and recommend initiatives to manage and reduce costs.
- Year-End Closing - Provide financial close support, ensuring a smooth transition to the new finance system.
Candidate Requirements:
- Must have extensive local authority finance experience.
- Fully qualified accountant (ACCA or equivalent).
- Strong background in Temporary Accommodation finance and cost modelling.
- Ability to start quickly to enable a brief handover period.
