Purpose of Position

Our UK Account Management Department (AMT) currently consists of 17 members. We are looking for an Account Director, to join the team and support the running of the department. This role is responsible for supporting our mid tier clients within the UK market, as well as, guiding, supporting and leading the 17 team members within the department. This is a great opportunity for you to work more strategically with teams and clients, to help enhance our offering to clients and have involvement in driving the department forward with wider business initiatives.

This position is temporary, with an 11-month contract.

Key Tasks

Key responsibilities within this role include:

  • Develop strong senior relationships with key client stakeholders
  • Act as a point of escalation for direct reports and junior team members.
  • Act as senior point of escalation across Account Management client portfolio
  • Hold closer strategic relationships with our larger client base, supporting Account Management on growth of clients ensuring service and strategy points are consistently delivered
  • Managing client account distribution department wide
  • Identify needs client may not recognise and ensure that approaches and solutions are linked to objectives
  • Run risk assessment of commercial contracts and lead client commercial negotiations
  • Lead and contribute to the pitch process for new client wins by displaying strategic vision, market & industry insight
  • Collaborate with team members to deliver company-wide initiatives to boost industry knowledge and morale
  • Work with the Head of Department to devise and implement department strategy to constantly evolve and improve on all aspects of the department.
  • Drive forward Department OKR’s
  • Involvement in wider business projects which support the departments function

Skills & Expertise

To be successful you will need to meet the below requirements.

  • 5+ year experience of line management experience
  • Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
  • Experience of dealing with high-level client issues and the ability to troubleshoot issues successfully
  • Understand and work with the client to identify and develop growth strategies
  • Competence in decision making and the authority to take control of complex situations and projects
  • Ability to manage, coach and develop other members of staff
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, especially at a high-level
  • In-depth, practical knowledge of affiliate marketing
  • Strong networking and negotiation skills
  • An understanding of Awin culture, and ethos
