Role: Cloud Engineer
Location: London (Hybrid)
Salary: 55,000 - £60,000
this brand new exciting Cloud Engineer role for a sleeping giant in the insurance sector. The role is critical in the companies IT Transformation journey. The position will use automation work flows to simplify and streamline infrastructure provisioning and configuration within our estate. Implementing continuous improvements to our guardrails and policies to deliver stable, resilient and secure cloud solutions.
Ideal Candidate:
- Proficient in configuration, design & support of Microsoft Servers up to 2022. Preferably to vendor accreditation level. VMWare 7 and above virtual infrastructures would be beneficial.
- Thorough understanding of design and operational concepts related to Cloud infrastructures (upgrades, migrations, backup, restore, DR, patching, anti-virus, systems management, monitoring, security and reporting)
- Strong understanding of infrastructure fundamentals: IP services (DNS, DHCP, IPSEC) & networking concepts.
- Knowledge of VPN/LAN/WAN and Cloud networking technologies
- At least 5 years experience of working in medium to enterprise scale environments working to ITIL, Agile & Prince 2 frameworks.
- Experience with Windows Active Directory, group policy, Entra ID and Intune configuration preferably experienced with Microsoft 365 Exchange hybrid environments and Mimecast services.
- Experience in onboarding companies technology processes and policies and migrating them to align with company values
- Proactive, calm & flexible approach.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Have a good knowledge of technical applications and be willing to keep up to date
