Cloud Engineer Overview
We are seeking a skilled and knowledgeable Cloud Engineer to join our client, an established retail firm, to play a key role in designing, deploying, and managing cloud infrastructure across its AWS platform. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and contribute to scalable, secure, and high-performance cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure across an AWS environment.
- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure cloud environments are secure, resilient, and cost-optimized, adhering to best practices and compliance standards.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and enhance cloud performance, availability, and security.
- Support cloud migration projects, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal downtime.
- Collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams to improve cloud strategies and workflows.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer working with AWS.
- Strong knowledge of cloud-native services, networking, security, and automation.
- Hands-on expertise with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Bicep.
- Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS CodePipeline.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to optimize cloud environments for performance and cost.
