AWS DevOps Engineer

£550-£650/day overall assignment rate to umbrella

Our client, a leading insurance organisation, is looking to hire a contractor to carry out work related to the migration of on-premises hosted applications and services to the AWS and Azure estate.

AWS DevOps Engineer, key skills:

  • Strong experience with AWS implementation and migration projects with Windows experience preferred.
  • Skills in working with legacy, in-house software/infrastructure in a self-sufficient manner will be especially important
  • Collaborating with the project team & Tech Lead to produce and deliver comprehensive low-level designs transforming on-premise current state to AWS state
  • A strong understanding of AWS Network Architecture and networking more generally. This will enable strong collaboration with in-house network team.
  • Experience in scripting and DevOps
  • Automating infrastructure deployments in the Cloud with Terraform and Gitlab pipelines is essential.
  • Knowledge of including AWS EKS, ECR, K6, Kubernetes, Helm, Slack, Jira and Confluence is essential including DevOps best practices.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS and cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS)
