Our client, a leading professional services company, is seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Solutions Architect with active DV clearance to join their team. This role will play a pivotal part in supporting a high-profile Ministry of Defence (MOD) client, ensuring secure and efficient cloud architecture solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Cloud Architecture Design: Lead the design and implementation of AWS cloud solutions, ensuring they meet the client's security and operational requirements.
  • Technical Leadership: Provide expert guidance on cloud infrastructure, application architecture, and best practices to internal teams and the MOD client.
  • Stakeholder Management: Engage with senior stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into scalable, secure cloud solutions.
  • Security Compliance: Ensure all solutions are compliant with MOD security standards and policies, leveraging your deep understanding of secure cloud environments.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay ahead of industry trends and advancements in cloud technology to recommend innovative solutions that enhance client capabilities.

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

  • DV Clearance: Active Developed Vetting (DV) clearance is mandatory due to the sensitivity of the client projects.
  • AWS Expertise: Extensive experience in architecting solutions on the AWS platform, with certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) being highly desirable.
  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrable experience in delivering complex cloud solutions for government or defence clients, ideally within the MOD.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in cloud computing, infrastructure as code (IaC), containerization, and automation tools.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, coupled with strong written and verbal communication skills.
