The Infrastructure IT Engineer handles escalated service issues, complex project implementation, and technical system maintenance. This role includes desktop support for around 190 users, server support, and exposure to trading and CRM systems.

Main Tasks
  • Collaborate with the CTO, IT team, and business units to develop scalable infrastructure strategies.
  • Oversee all IT infrastructure operations, ensuring best practices and regulatory compliance.
  • Train and develop junior staff to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Manage vendor relationships to ensure value and policy compliance.
  • Ensure seamless service integration with all teams.
  • Develop and maintain a robust, secure, and high-performing infrastructure.
  • Respond to user and server support queries.
  • Troubleshoot desktop, laptop, and server issues.
  • Participate in office/desk moves, including out-of-hours work as needed.
  • Participate in on-call service rotation.

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies
  • Knowledge of Dell laptops, desktops, and servers.
  • Experience with Microsoft Surface, Windows 10, and Windows Server 2012R2-2019.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Exchange Online (Office 365) and Office 2016/365.
  • Networking knowledge (TCP/IP topologies) and Palo Alto Firewalls.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure (AD/Hosting) and HP switching/routing.
  • Strong IT security focus and management of business endpoint protection.
  • Understanding of virtualization technologies.
  • Management of hosted telephone systems and disaster recovery procedures.
  • Database server maintenance.
  • Support for financial services applications (e.g., Bloomberg, Fidessa).
  • Support for mobile devices (Apple and Android OS) and Microsoft Endpoint Manager MDM.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft products and architecture.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
