We are supporting an established team, who are expanding their cloud infrastructure.Â
As a Senior Azure Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the Azure-based cloud infrastructure. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the scalability, security, and performance of cloud environments, driving key projects that support business growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Design and implement secure, scalable, and reliable cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure.
- Manage and optimize Azure services including compute, storage, networking, and security.
- Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning using tools like ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep.
- Monitor and manage cloud performance, optimizing cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with development, DevOps, and security teams to integrate best practices.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, particularly in relation to financial services regulations (e.g., GDPR, PCI DSS).
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex cloud infrastructure issues, providing senior-level support.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the development of team skills and knowledge.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
- Strong experience with Azure DevOps, including CI/CD pipeline management.
- Advanced knowledge of Azure infrastructure services such as VMs, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Virtual Networks, and Azure Functions.
- Expertise in scripting/automation (PowerShell, Python, or Bash).
- Deep understanding of networking, security, and governance in Azure.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, ARM, or Bicep.
- Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert) highly desirable.
- Experience working within financial services or a regulated industry is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
