Senior Cloud Engineer

London - 2/3 days a week in the office

£85,000 - £90,000

ReVybe IT is recruiting for a Senior Cloud Engineer with a forward-thinking financial services business with around 80 employees, committed to year-on-year growth and a flat organizational structure. The team is close-knit, participating in exciting company trips and incentives for top performers aligned with their values. Monthly socials foster team bonding and collaboration. You will be the second Cloud Engineer in the business, and will take ownership of the entire cloud environment!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of the cloud environment, ensuring optimal performance and security.
  • Collaborate closely with the application team to integrate cloud solutions seamlessly.
  • Report directly to the CTO, providing strategic insights and technical expertise.
  • Utilize technologies such as Azure, Terraform, GitHub Actions, Key Vault, and Azure Container Apps.
    • Develop, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Azure Container Apps.
    • Ensure high availability and scalability of microservices.
    • Implement best practices for container orchestration and monitoring.
  • Manage and secure sensitive information using Key Vault, ensuring proper access control and compliance with security policies.
    • Implement automated secrets management workflows.
  • Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
    • Automate testing, building, and deployment processes.
    • Integrate with other tools and services for seamless workflows.
  • Develop and manage reusable Terraform modules for infrastructure as code.
    • Ensure consistent and scalable infrastructure deployment.
    • Implement best practices for version control and module documentation.
  • Comfortable working in an Agile environment.
    • Collaborate effectively within Agile teams.
    • Adapt quickly to changes and iterative development processes.
    • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies and practices.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI).
    • Develop and maintain scripts for automation and deployment.
    • Use PowerShell, Bash, and Azure CLI to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
    • Implement automation workflows to reduce manual tasks.

Requirements:

  • Proficient in Azure cloud services and related technologies.
  • Strong experience with Terraform for infrastructure as code, with the ability to build modules, and more.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar for CI/CD.
  • Familiarity with Azure Container Apps and other relevant tools.
  • Comfortable working in an Agile environment.
  • Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell, Bash, Azure CLI).
