An exciting scale-up in Central London are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to join the small but growing cloud engineering team in a crucial time in the businesses growth. You will use AWS, Azure, Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, Python, and more. This business has 100 employees, having grown hugely in the last 18 months.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based solutions across AWS and Azure, with a strong emphasis on scalability, security, and agility.

  • Collaborate with developers, cloud engineers, test engineers, and project managers to implement cloud engineering best practices and ensure project milestones are achieved.

  • Develop and maintain cloud security policies and procedures on AWS and Azure to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.

  • Implement Kubernetes (AKS/EKS) to new platforms and services for efficient container orchestration and application management.

  • Provision and automate infrastructure using Terraform and Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.

  • Monitor and optimize Azure and AWS environments for performance, cost, and scalability.

Skills Required:

  • 5+ years of experience as a DevOps/Cloud Engineer with expertise in both AWS and Azure platforms.

  • Strong knowledge of AWS and Azure services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, VPC, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Functions, and Azure Storage.

  • Solid experience in containerization, designing and deploying solutions with Docker, and managing containers effectively.

  • Proficiency in scripting and automation with Python and optionally PowerShell for Azure tasks.

  • Hands-on experience building CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, etc.

  • Familiarity with Terraform, as well as ARM templates, for infrastructure automation and deployment.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across diverse, cross-functional teams.
