Senior Cloud Systems Engineer - Office365, PowerShell, Azure

Our leading global law firm client are looking for a Senior Cloud Systems Engineer (Office365, PowerShell, Azure) on a permanent basis to be instrumental in the design, implementation, and management of the firms global cloud infrastructure with a specific focus on Microsoft.

Key Responsibilities for this Senior Cloud Systems Engineer (Office365, PowerShell, Azure) are:

Microsoft 365 Full Stack Engineer

  • Design, deploy, and manage Microsoft 365 products and services, with a prioritization on SharePoint Online, Purview Services, and Copilot and Copilot Studio

Security and Compliance:

  • Ensure the security of the M365 and Copilot environments, covering identity and access management, threat protection, information protection, and overall security management.
  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures in collaboration with IT and security teams to comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct regular audits and generate reports to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance with data protection regulations.

Microsoft Purview Implementation:

  • Implement and manage Microsoft Purview solutions with a focus on information protection, data governance, compliance management, and insider risk management.
  • Use Purview to audit the creation, management, and monitoring of data policies and classifications in Copilot Studio.

System Monitoring and Support:

  • Monitor and maintain system health to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to engineering teams, resolving issues related to M365, Purview, and Copilot services.

Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with the latest developments in cloud computing, Microsoft 365, Purview, and Copilot.
  • Apply best practices to enhance system functionality and efficiency.

The qualifications and skills required for this Senior Cloud Systems Engineer (Office365, PowerShell, Azure) are:

  • At least 5 years working with Microsoft 365 as a full stack engineer.
  • Extensive experience in application and infrastructure design, with strong conceptual thinking skills.
  • Extensive experience in Power Shell and other enterprise level scalable techniques Eg DSC (Desired State Configuration)
  • Solid understanding of cloud computing principles, particularly within Microsoft Azure
  • Preferred Microsoft certifications related to Microsoft 365 and Purview (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals; Microsoft Certified: Information Protection Administrator).
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
  • Proven experience in deploying, managing, and optimizing Microsoft 365 services; strong knowledge of Microsoft Purview, including information protection, data governance, and compliance.
  • Solid understanding of cloud computing principles, particularly within Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Excellent communication skills with experience facilitating meetings and WebEx sessions.
  • Willingness to travel or work overtime as needed; fluency in English is required; international experience is a plus.
