Senior DevOps Engineer – Up to £110,000 – Hybrid (3x week in London)OverviewI am currently recruiting for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join my client who are a leading FTSE250 financial services business with a global presence across 60+ locations. With over 170 years of innovation and success, they continue to be a key player in driving industry standards and supporting global operations. Role Responsibilities
  • Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and support to enhance IT team skills.
  • Advocate for and implement DevOps principles across the organization.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver efficient, automated solutions.
  • Develop and maintain templates and processes for consistent delivery.
  • Peer review CI/CD pipeline changes and ensure robust workflows.
  • Design and deliver solutions with Enterprise Architects.
  • Promote upskilling and self-service capabilities in engineering teams.
  • Identify and improve automation processes in partnership with leadership.
  • Offer out-of-hours support for critical issues on a rota basis.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation and change records.
Role Requirements
  • Proven experience mentoring and coaching technical teams.
  • Expertise in Azure DevOps (boards, pipelines) and Microsoft Azure cloud services.
  • Strong knowledge of YAML pipeline templates, Terraform, Ansible, and PowerShell.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Docker, and cloud governance tools.
  • Proficient in networking and security practices, including RBAC and Azure policies.
  • Familiarity with monitoring solutions and cloud-based high-availability systems.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, VMware, and Meraki networks for automation.
  • Experience with TeamCity, Octopus Deploy, and ServiceNow scripting (desirable).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and adaptability.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
