Job Title: Senior DevOps Engineer
Job Type: Contract (4 months)
Client Overview: We are partnering with an innovative tech company who are a leader in providing cloud-based enterprise solutions for clients in the financial services sector. Their mission is to drive digital transformation through scalable, high-performance platforms, and they're currently looking to expand their team with a talented Senior DevOps Engineer for a 4-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic company that values cutting-edge technologies and the role of DevOps in enabling business success.
Project Overview: As part of this contract, you will be working on a critical project to enhance the infrastructure and deployment pipelines for a new platform that is set to revolutionize the client's data processing capabilities. The project focuses on building a resilient, secure, and scalable cloud environment while implementing automated CI/CD pipelines. Your expertise will help ensure the seamless delivery of new features and the efficient operation of the platform.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to design and deploy a cloud-native infrastructure.
- Automate and streamline the deployment pipeline using modern CI/CD tools and best practices.
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and security of the platform through effective monitoring and automation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in real-time to minimize downtime and improve system performance.
- Implement infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Provide recommendations and solutions for optimizing the cloud infrastructure for scalability and cost-efficiency.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or in a similar role.
- Solid experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Expertise in CI/CD pipeline automation using tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI.
- Strong experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or similar.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have:
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or New Relic.
- Experience with security practices for cloud-based environments.
- Knowledge of microservices architectures and distributed systems.
