Senior AWS DevOps Engineer - AWS, Terraform, EKS, Docker, Python

£85,000 - £90,000 + 10% bonus
An exciting scale-up in Central London are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer to join the small but growing cloud engineering team in a crucial time in the businesses growth. You will use AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes (EKS), Docker, AWS DevOps, Python, and more. This business has 100 employees, having grown hugely in the last 18 months.
Key responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and manage AWS-based solutions, with a focus on scalability, security, and agility.
- Collaborate with developers, cloud engineers, test engineers, and project managers to implement cloud engineering best practices and ensure project work is completed on time.
- Develop and maintain AWS security policies and procedures to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data.
- Implement Kubernetes (EKS) to new platforms and services, to ensure efficient orchestration of containers and management of applications.
- Provision and automate infrastructure utilizing Terraform.
Skills required:
- 4 years+ experience as DevOps/Cloud Engineer, with a specialty in the AWS Cloud Platform.
- Strong experience in containerization, understanding Docker well. Not just managing containers, but designing and deploying them too.
- Strong knowledge of AWS services, including EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS, and VPC.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python.
- Strong experience in building CI/CD pipelines using Gitlab, Github Actions, etc.
- Good experience using Terraform with infrastructure as code principles.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
