Senior Application Security Engineer

Location: London, Swindon, Manchester or Glasgow

If based near London or Swindon, it'll be 2 days a week in office. If based elsewhere, you'll required to go into the office on an Adhoc basis

Salary: Up to £100,000 (DOE)

Our client is a global bank that operate within the financial services sector. They are looking for a Security Engineer to enhance their security and cloud infrastructure and ensure that their systems are well-protected and updated.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Security Engineer , you will work cross-functionally to assess risk and help provide preventative measures to protect member data. You will work with engineering teams to develop solutions to resolve or fix security issues. This includes a range of tasks including (but not limited to) threat modelling, selection and configuration of DevSecOps tools, high level and detailed security design.

About you

  • You will have experience designing and implementing security controls into the Cloud (AWS or Azure)
  • You will have experience maintaining stakeholder management and be able to communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Threat-modelling experience
  • Experience with at least one modern language e.g. Python or JavaScript and an appreciation for the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
