Job location: North West London
Hourly pay rate: £21.42 PAYE / £27.32 Umbrella
Shift Pattern: Mon – Fri Days 09:00 – 17:00 (overtime available)
Duration: On-going
Orion Rail is looking for a Vehicle Builder to work within a world renowned Rolling Stock vehicle service, maintenance and manufacturing company.

Position Summary for the Vehicle Builder:
Must make sure the trains are up to aesthetic standards and ensure that there is no damage to how the trains are visually presented.
The work for the Vehicle Builder will range from replacing damaged passenger armrest to re painting the interior panels inside the train to ensure contractual standards are met.
Your job role as the Vehicle Builder will be varied duties and tasks will include:
Aesthetic audits to ensure the below aesthetic related items are within tolerance of our contract:
- Scratch graffiti
- Non-scratch graffiti
- Colour and Gloss
- Corrosion and paint chips
- Floor Covering
- Labelling
- Armrests
- Handrails and grab hangers
- Seats
Person Profile/Experience for the Vehicle Builder:
Experience in vehicle body repairs from prep to paint is required. The ideal person will:
- Must have prior experience with paint touch ups and be able to demonstrate this in an interview.
- Must be able to use reporting devices efficiently like Microsoft forms, excel etc.
- Preferred to have some prior experience with removing and replacing small mechanical parts like armrest, seats etc.
- Preferred to have been apart of an aesthetic team before with set objectives and goals that needed to be met.
- Preferred to have setup an aesthetic team previously so they know what equipment to buy.
