We are delighted to be working with this leading global law firm who are looking for an experienced BD Manager to join the team in London, covering parental leave for 12 months.

This firm have a solid track record of success and continued growth. They have a culture that is supportive, transparent and inclusive. The BD function is extremely well respected by the fee earning groups and the successful candidate for this role will work as a trusted advisor to their stakeholders who sit in the Finance and Real Estate & Projects sector group in London, with some global exposure.

The remit of the BD Manager role includes:

  • Providing strategic advice and guidance to practice group heads, to raise the profile of the teams and develop impactful BD plans.
  • Develop and execute key client plans, account managing some of the groups strategically important relationships.
  • Lead on key pitch projects, developing winning content and strategies.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities to cross sell the practice group.
  • Coach and mentor fee earners on business development tactics and strategies.
  • Oversee the submissions process for the practice.
  • Work closely with the events team to deliver impactful client events.
  • Support stakeholders with research and insight on potential opportunities, client, industry and sector trends.
  • Collaborate with the marcoms team to develop media plans for the practice groups.
  • Manage and mentor junior team members.

The successful candidate for this BD Manager role will possess:

  • Strong BD and marketing experience gained in the legal or wider professional services sector.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience of developing and managing client relationships.
  • An innovative approach, adaptable and open to new ideas.
  • The ability to commit to a 12-month contract role.
