This leading construction firm is looking for a Bid Manager to directly assist the Bid team with day-to-day bidding activities as well as manage your own tasks/projects.

This is a varied role which will require facilitation and coordination across the UK offices.

You will support the production of bids across your allocated sectors to ensure that bid responses are produced to the highest quality within agreed timelines. Working closely with the sales and marketing team to ensure all material is on brand and aligned to the overall brand strategy, your key responsibilities include:

  • Bid management for public sector and private sector client organisations
  • Support with opportunity identification and early positioning to capture strategic bid opportunities
  • Support market research, stakeholder profiling, market share information, competiton analysis during pre-proposal stage
  • Ensure RLB case studies, profiles, CVs, client references and testimonials and track record is up-to-date and accessible
  • Maintain bid knowledge management system including library of bid answers and liaise with subject matter experts to ensure content remains relevant and up-to-date
  • Source imagery to create visually impactful bids and maintain library of imagery and support and drive improvement in the visual representation of proposals and presentations
  • Manage the internal process, coordinating inputs from a range of stakeholders
  • Disseminate and communicate client tender clarifications and facilitate appropriate action in response, via procurement portal
  • Assist with preparation of kick-off documents, CV collation, case study identification
  • Co-ordinate and complete SQs, RFI and tender responses, and presentations
  • Produce high quality written content as required, crafting bespoke text to suit client and in line with bid themes and solution
  • Establish and maintain clear and transparent communication with stakeholders
  • Record and share lessons learnt and best practice - identifying best practice and suggest improvements to processes and team dynamics
  • Provide challenge to facilitate the development of solutions delivering client requirements
  • Ensure CRM system includes opportunity information to assist with bid reporting
  • Promote the bid process and best practice in work winning in line with brand guidelines
  • Build relationships with stakeholders and colleagues across region(s) to gain participation in bid activity.

You must be a dynamic individual with APMP certification (minimum Foundation Level), high energy and motivation. Critical requirements include teamwork skills, strong project management skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously within limited time frames. You will have experience within the construction industry with strong understanding and experience of public sector bidding and experience of proposal development, ideally within a professional services environment, good Office skills and knowledge of MS Dynamics would be an advantage along with InDesign skills, and management skills.
