You will apply a customer focused approach to supporting the Business Development team & manage team processes and look for improvements where possible. You will support the Marketing Manager with events, both internal and external.

Reporting to the Head of Business Development you will be a key member of the Business Development Team; with the responsibility for supporting the delivery of new projects into the CRM pipeline and manage the quoting process.
The key responsibilities & duties are:

  • Manage the quoting process and check the quality of all bids
  • Support Business Developers with quotes for wide range of customers and projects
  • Support Business Developers with large bid and tenders
  • Process new sales leads as necessary
  • Support with any necessary administrative work including filing reports or presenting sales team with necessary documents
  • Support Marketing Manager with marketing events and presentations
  • Complete research on customers and market segments to support business growth
  • Produce presentations and analysis of market research
  • Monitoring social media accounts, creating content, and responding to messages
  • Liaising with customers/external agencies


Knowledge and Skills

  • Candidates must be comfortable working autonomously
  • Extremely Organised with strong time management skills
  • Candidates should have an enquiring mind, have entrepreneurial flair and be willing to jump into unexpected tasks and activities when they arise.
  • Knowledge of sales and marketing processes is desirable
  • Knowledge of the UK energy market and systems is preferred, particularly electricity and renewable markets
  • A People Person who can be Time Oriented and has an Attention to Detail
  • Great Verbal and Written Communication Skills
  • Reporting Skills and Administrative Skills


Qualifications and Experience

  • Undergraduate degree in Business Development, Marketing, Electrical, Electronic, general engineering, or equivalent demonstrable experience;
  • Demonstrable experience in the Commercial and Industrial Segment;
  • Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • IT skills, competent in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, DocuSign, CRM, and Excel
  • Strong problem-solving and creative skills
  • An ability to stay calm under pressure and keep to deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of the utility market is not necessary but would be beneficial for the role

Location

The position will be based in central London. However, it is likely that the role will also involve some remote working.
