  • This is a strategically important position, focused on creating new business demand, developing our routes to market, and generally raising awareness of our full product range within wholesalers and merchants.
  • You will report to the Domestic Sales Director and will primarily be responsible for the planning and prioritisation of sales activity and the management of customer relationships and portfolios according to agreed Business objectives.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
  • Manage product/service mix, pricing, and margins according to agreed aims.
  • Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and ethical sales methods, and relevant internal liaison, to optimise quality of service, business growth and customer satisfaction.
  • Use customer and prospect contact activities tools and systems and update relevant information held in these systems.
  • Plan/carry out/support local marketing activities to agreed budgets and timescales and integrate personal sales efforts with other organised marketing activities, e.g., product launched, promotions, advertising, exhibitions and telemarketing.
  • Respond and follow up on sales enquiries using appropriate methods.
  • Monitor and report on market and competitor activities and provide relevant reports and information.
  • Record analyse, report and administer according to systems and requirements.
  • Communicate, liaise, and negotiate internally and externally using appropriate methods to facilitate the development of profitable business and sustainable relationships.
  • Attend and present at external customer meetings and internal meetings with other company functions necessary to preform duties and aid in business development.
  • Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to health and safety and quality management.
  • Adhere to procedures relating to the proper use and care of equipment and materials for which the role has responsibility.
  • Attend training to develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills.
Person Specification  Skills/qualifications/experience required:
  • Ability to produce/present comprehensive IT sales data.
  • Must have expereience in working with a range of pumps and selling into merchants and wholesalers.
Desirable requirements
  • Ability to present CPD’s in group situations.
  • Practical building services trade/technical experience.
  • Proven business development experience
  • Able to converse on a commercial and technical level
  • Highly developed commercial acumen, coupled with an ability to identify new business initiatives and strengthen existing relationships
