Exciting Opportunity: Business Development Manager

Join a dynamic, innovative, and rapidly growing global insurance firm as a Business Development Manager. Our client seeks an experienced professional from an Insurance and/or Professional Services background (law firms, accountancy practices, etc.), ideally with knowledge or experience in the London Markets Insurance space. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to make a significant impact within a leading global insurance firm. Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with senior stakeholders to design, execute, and monitor global business development and client development strategies.
  • Set and measure success against agreed KPIs.
  • Ensure delivery against plans, sales targets, and pipeline objectives.
  • Lead or contribute to quarterly review meetings and survey review meetings.
  • Identify improvement areas from broker or client feedback and develop improvement plans with the team.
  • Develop and maintain broker and client presentations.
  • Support internal and external business promotion.
  • Maintain strong relationships with brokers, clients, and other insurers/reinsurers.
  • Maintain relationships with panel law firms and adjusters.
  • Lead or support RFP responses and pitch presentations for new and renewal business.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to disseminate key messages across the business.
  • Contribute to the production of award-winning submissions and proposals.
  • Develop new content and unique selling points (USPs) to keep sales messages and materials up to date.

Experience Required:

  • Experience in a Business Development role within professional services (law firms, accountancy practices, management consultancies, etc.).
  • Alternatively, business development and client development experience in a B2B insurance environment.
  • Knowledge of insurance/reinsurance and the London Market is advantageous.
  • Proven experience working directly with clients.
  • Strong ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
