Are you an experienced Commercial Surveyor with a passion for strategic property management? Join the London Borough of Hackney's Strategic Property Services team as a Commercial Asset Manager and play a crucial role in managing a diverse commercial property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities:
·Manage up to 150 commercial properties, identifying opportunities to increase rental income and reduce costs.
·Undertake inspections, valuations, rent reviews, lease renewals, and manage disputes.
·Maximise rental income by managing voids and debtors.
·Ensure compliance with Health & Safety regulations and contribute to the Council's Sustainability and Energy Strategy.
·Provide professional advice and reports to various departments, including updates to senior management and elected members.
·Build strong relationships with tenants, external stakeholders, and internal teams.
Requirements:
·Essential:
oDegree in a relevant field.
oRICS qualification (Valuation or Commercial Property pathway) or working towards it.
oExtensive experience in commercial property management, including dealing with complex disputes and negotiations.
oStrong knowledge of landlord/tenant issues, financial and legal processes, and statutory compliance.
·Desirable:
oExperience in large public organisations.
oKnowledge of property data management systems and Council procurement procedures.
