Reed.co.uk is looking for a Commercial Director to join their Senior Leadership Team in Holborn, London.

We are seeking a visionary and results-driven Commercial Director to lead our Commercial teams and maximise revenue generation across our B2B customer base. This role is crucial to the growth of Reed.co.uk, focusing on providing services to Recruitment Consultancies, Direct Employers, Advertising Agencies and Course Providers, as well as B2C users purchasing courses online.

The Commercial Director will also be responsible for supplementary revenue streams including Display Advertising and Commercial Partnerships whilst continuously exploring new revenue opportunities. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, the Commercial Director will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing business strategy, driving commercial success and fostering a high-performance culture across our Commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Ownership: Develop and deliver an ambitious commercial strategy aligned to our strategic ambitions and goals.
  • Revenue Optimisation: Responsible for maximising revenue generation and representing the Commercial team’s performance at senior level, including Board meetings.
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor and develop a best-in-class Commercial team, setting clear expectations and creating a culture of high performance.
  • Customer-Centric Approach: Lead our Commercial teams to adopt a customer-centric approach, enhancing customer retention and accelerating acquisition.
  • Customer-Facing: Regularly speaking and pitching to Customers to win new business as well as being the escalation point to manage any customer disputes quickly and effectively.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Foster transparent and trusted relationships with all business functions, including Product and Marketing, ensuring company strategies align with Customer needs.
  • Data-Driven: Utilise data to illustrate and explain business outcomes, trends and forecasts.
  • Market Expansion: Play a critical role in evolving Reed.co.uk’s pay-for-performance proposition and developing new commercial opportunities in the recruitment space.

Skills and Experience:

  • Sales Success: Proven success in leading sales teams to consistently achieve targets and grow a customer base as well as personal experience of being customer facing.
  • Commercial Leadership: Demonstrable leadership experience, with a track record of managing high performing commercial teams in a demanding environment across various functions, including Sales, Customer Success and Display/Programmatic Advertising teams.
  • Strategic Mindset: Expertise in creating and delivering multi-channel commercial strategies for digital market ecosystems.
  • Customer Engagement: Extensive experience in crafting and executing customer engagement strategies which lead to customer satisfaction, retention and contract growth.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong data and analytical skills with the ability to communicate using insights helping stakeholders to make data informed decisions
  • Attitude: A positive, can-do attitude with a passion for improving Customers outcomes and contributing to a dynamic environment and culture.
