SALARY: £55,000 - £60,000 per annum + Annual Bonus + Generous Benefits (see below)

We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a B2C Commercial Manager(known within the business as a B2C Manager)who has a passion for great tasting food with excellent leadership and team management skills, the ability to inspire and motivate a high-performing sales team and has a proven track record of success in the food retail or grocery sector, with a deep understanding of multi-channel environments.

The company search for, select and sell the very best foods through our shops, website, and via their wholesale business, distributing delicious high-quality products nationwide to Delis, Restaurants, Multiples, Food Halls and Wholesalers throughout the UK.

As the B2C Commercial Manager you will join the business in a senior role within the Sales / Retail division.

The company is looking a B2C Commercial Manager who will share their unique customer service and sales talent to ensure the brand is the leading and best in class supplier of Spanish foods across their retail and ecommerce divisions.

The potential to grow the B2C operation is unlimited and whilst omnichannel, the priority will be the development of ecommerce. Through the retail stores and online, the company is able to showcase the quality, ethics and flavour of their amazing foods by connecting directly with their consumers. Therefore, they are looking for a passionate foodie, an entrepreneurial and Commercial Senior ecommerce / Retail Manager who can bring this vision to life.

DUTIES

Your duties as the B2C Commercial Manager include:

  • Collaborate with the Sales Director on B2C business growth and retention strategy
  • Set and manage priorities and KPIs for the shops and ecommerce business
  • Use customer insights and wider market data to develop the B2C product offering
  • Develop key reporting tools for omnichannel targets & objectives
  • Initiate new projects to support and develop the B2C division
  • Recruit and hire ensuring a structured and consistent process is followed
  • Manage team performance and development through regular performance reviews & appraisals
  • Ensure a consistent offer and messaging across routes to market
  • Become an expert in the hero products of the business and champion them across the B2C sales channels
  • Commercial P&L accountability with budgetary responsibility and control
  • With the senior leadership team, review and develop all B2C operations
  • In conjunction with the restaurant chain explore opportunities to maximise cross selling through the B2C channels
  • Ensure effective implementation of Health & Safety, Food Safety, Sustainability and other risk management systems

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven Experience: demonstrable ecommerce experience and expertise in the food retail, grocery / multi-channel environment
  • Sales Focus: Experienced retail / ecommerce manager with a proven track record of delivering exceptional sales performance in a food sales environment
  • Commercial Drive: strong commercial acumen and sales drive
  • Ecommerce: experience working with digital marketing and web developers will be required
  • Analytical Ability: Disseminates data to actionable insights
  • Food Excellence: Demonstrates a genuine interest in Spanish culture and food
  • Leadership: Experienced in the performance management and training & development of teams
  • Team Worker: An agile team player who successfully collaborates and influences internally, who understands and respects the wider company agenda
  • Language Skill: Excellent English communication skills (both written & verbal), with the ability to engage, influence and network both internally and with external partners. A grasp of Spanish would be great but is not a prerequisite
  • Educational Background: Degree calibre or demonstrable experience in a similar role
