Role: Commercial Manager

Location: London & remote

Duration: 6 Month Contract

The role:

Initial 6 month contract working on the HS2 project, the UK's new high speed rail network. The successful candidate will have at least 3 years career experience in a similar role - preferably within the rail & infrastructure sector, certainly civil engineering. Delivering cost and contract control in delivering projects for the client.

Key responsibilities:

  • Contract & compliance management
  • Commercial reporting associated with change management
  • Assessment of change impacts against the program
  • Measurement and quote development
  • Development, management, and reporting of project metrics
  • Provide contractual and commercial risk advice to the commercial team
  • Manage & lead risk reduction change management meetings

Essential requirements:

  • Degree qualified or equivalent ideally in construction commercial management
  • Must have experience in working complex building, civils works or MEP Works
  • Have experience in managing others and working in large teams
  • Must have a good working knowledge of the NEC
  • Strong presentation and excel skills
  • RICS qualified or equivalent, or working towards

Desirable:

  • Strong contract experience
  • Experience in rail or infrastructure projects
  • Change management experience
  • Claims and dispute resolution experience
