We are currently recruiting for a global industry-leading workplace solutions provider with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality Life sciences projects across the UK.
We are currently in the process of hiring a Commercial Manager tomanage and oversee cost control, financial responsibilities, and take the lead on the commercial position of accounts on behalf of one of our longest-tenured clients. This is a hybrid position located mainly out of our client's head office in Central London. This is a permanent role and has a salary of up to 75,000, including a package of up to 5,000.
As a Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring all regulations are being met by supply chains, influencing procurement and operational teams in managing, mitigating and flowing down risk and managing change on accounts and providing weekly/monthly reports directly to the Commercial Director.
As a Commercial Manager, your principal roles and responsibilities will include:
- Supporting the legal/business teams in the timely agreement of contracts.
- Engage in pursuits, solutioning, expansions, re-tenders and retention strategies.
- Lead relevant commercial negotiations and achieve a signed contract document.
- Provide, maintain and advise on the use of standard documentation and templates.
- Provide commercial guidance at the pursuit stage, through the contract lifecycle and completion.
- Support supply chain solutions with the negotiation of preferred supplier agreements.
- Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks.
- Negotiate contracts and work schedules for all subcontractors.
- Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work.
- Create, analyse, and provide weekly/monthly detailed progress reports in direct liaison with the Commercial Director.
- Attend site visits and client meetings as required to discuss Commercial specifications, budgets and project requirements.
- Live within a commutable distance of Central London.
- Must have 3+ years of Quantity Surveying Experience.
- Effective analytical thinking skills.
- Strong experience and understanding of engineering science and technology.
- Exceptional attention to detail.
