Commercial Manager - Maternity Cover (Jan 2025 - Apr 2026)

Join an award-winning PR and communications agency with offices in Canada and the US, as their Commercial Manager within the finance team based in Shoreditch. This maternity cover role offers an exciting opportunity to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced, and creative environment, contributing to the success of a leading agency.

About the RoleAs the Commercial Manager, you’ll lead the European finance department, ensuring smooth operations and high-quality deliverables. Key responsibilities include managing the fee forecast, profit and loss (P&L), month-end processes, and quarterly and annual rolling forecasts. You'll also be involved in financial processes related to a major FMCG multinational client, collaborating with the finance assistant and client account teams to streamline operations and produce detailed management reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strong financial acumen for modeling and analysis.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively, especially under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for working with managers and decision-makers.
  • Commercial and business awareness with a solid understanding of budgeting procedures.
  • Ability to work both independently and lead others confidently.

Experience Required

  • 5+ years in finance, including management-level experience.
  • Hands-on experience with month-end processes and rolling forecast submissions.
  • Background working with FMCG companies.
  • Previous experience in PR or creative agencies is highly desirable.

Working ArrangementThis is a hybrid role, requiring office presence on Tuesdays and Thursdays (with occasional flexibility to swap for a Wednesday if needed).
