An exciting new Head of Growth opportunity is now available with a leading UK sports association based in North London.

Responsible for the head of revenue and commercial team, as part of a new strategy, the aim is to significantly grow the commercial business conducted by the club and a Head of Growth is being sought to lead and drive this. Working alongside the CEO and CFO, this role will set an innovative sales strategy and deliver success in the form of traditional and new revenue streams.

The Head of Growth will lead all commercial activity and will be a key appointment within the leadership team.

Specifically, the successful candidate will be a strong leader who has a successful track record in delivering demanding commercial objectives through a dedicated and experienced team. The ideal candidate is proactive, a natural salesperson who doesn’t mind cold-calling and being creative in their approach, and understanding of the constraints and landscape of a domestic sport product. You will have fantastic communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with new clients with the aim of generating new sales, supporting existing partnerships and cross-selling when the opportunity arises.

This is a demanding role but one which provides the opportunity to pioneer growth and change and it will be a crucial appointment within the business. There is a willingness and a desire to move the commercial activities in a new direction so it is an exciting time to join the team.

Based in North London

Key duties:

New Business: - Hospitality sales - maximising traditional hospitality products across International and Domestic fixtures. - Sponsorship acquisition

Commercial Partnerships and Sales

Define and implement Growth and Commercial Strategy

Non-Match Day Sales (Conference & Events)

Match Day Sales (Hospitality)

Membership

Implement and deliver membership model that maximises revenues. Bringing in new and diverse audiences, with a focus on membership acquisition

Oversee the direction of the Club’s existing premium members club

New partner acquisition

Sales pipeline

Implement CRM system to monitor leads

Evaluate market - outreach through to closure

Working with the team to develop commercial proposals

Although not responsible for marketing and retail, this role will involve some elements that influence the both marketing and retail of the club. As part of the Senior Management Team you will also support all projects and colleagues within the Club.
