Internal Business Development Manager (Property Lending)

You will be joining a high-performing team that has received industry recognition for service excellence. In this role, you’ll report to the Managing Director (Sales) and work closely with the external sales team on a daily basis. Additionally, you’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with the credit team as an integral part of our operations.
Main PurposeTo provide administrative support to the external sales team, deliver exceptional service across the department, and maintain outstanding relationships with brokers and clients.
Key Responsibilities- Proactively follow up on indicative terms and AIPs (Agreements in Principle) with brokers and customers.
- Assess and respond to enquiries received via telephone and online channels.
- Provide accurate indicative terms or clearly communicate reasons for declined cases.
- Submit accurate AIP submissions to the credit team for approval.
- Package and submit new applications to the Credit Analyst (CA) team, ensuring all required documents are included.
- Support the external sales team with enquiries, AIPs, and other matters while they are out of the office.
- Assist the CA team with valuations and solicitors' quotes, including sourcing alternative or better quotes.
- Engage with new brokers through outbound telephone calls.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date data in the internal systems.
- Participate in ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned by management.
- Consistently deliver high-quality service to brokers.
- Effectively and promptly follow up on indicative terms and AIPs.
- Accurately identify and document reasons for cases not proceeding, identifying trends.
- Support the external sales team in maintaining and developing broker relationships.
- Improve service-level agreements (SLA) on enquiry and AIP turnaround times.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A degree is preferable but not essential.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Financial Services.
